The Global Plastics Treaty represents a unique and crucial opportunity for a worldwide coordinated initiative to effectively resolve the ongoing plastic pollution crisis at all stages of the life span of plastics. Nevertheless, there exists a risk of its potential dilution and corruption. We must unite together to advocate for an ambitious treaty, ensuring its effectiveness in mitigating the plastic pollution crisis.
As countries continue the negotiations, the pressure from civil society will be instrumental in ensuring that the treaty:
#BeatPlasticPollution için harekete geçme ve yenilik yapma zamanı. unep From fantastic to tragic—plastic’s story is unfolding in a way never anticipated.
What was once convenient, is now choking the planet. Each year, millions of tons of plastic waste invade the ecosystems that nurture life on Earth.
This isn’t the end of the story, though. A different ending is possible: it starts with cutting out unnecessary plastic products and redesigning products so that they can be easily reused, repaired, repurposed and recycled. Switching to non-plastic alternatives. Strengthening environmentally sound waste management systems.
It’s time to act and innovate to #BeatPlasticPollution.

On April 13th 2024 EARTHCARE was talking Plastics: Why the Planet needs a Plastics Treaty. More than 1 million plastic bottles are sold every minute around the world. 5 trillion plastic bags will be used this year. We need to keep plastics out of the environment because once there they do not biodegrade. I am holding a mylar plastic balloon, ironically "Patrick" the starfish from SpongeBob, found on one of our beaches. As it becomes transparent it resembles jellyfish, a favourite food of turtles, marine mammals and some finfish. Once ingested plastic becomes lodged in the digestive tract eventually causing the animal to starve to death. #earthcare #earthcareecokidsrule #endplasticswaste #plasticstreaty

Despite what it says on the label, most plastic is too dangerous or difficult to recycle. But it doesn’t have to be.
At #INC4 governments must support global rules to ensure all plastic is safe and easy to recycle.
Call on them to take action at BanIt.org

Our recent #beachcleanup at Pirates Beach was EPIC! We banded together and collected over 300kgs of #plasticwaste, and here`s why it`s a HUGE deal:
The Impact 🐠🌊
Our #oceans are drowning in #plastic, and it`s not a vibe. By cleaning up Pirates Beach, we`re making a real difference in protecting #marinelife and preserving our beautiful coastlines.
Raising Awareness 📢
Our clean-up isn`t just about picking up trash - it`s about shouting loud and proud that we won`t stand for #plasticpollution! #NoMorePlastic
Why It Matters 🌟
This isn`t just a one-time thing, it`s a movement. Every piece of #plastic we remove is a step towards a cleaner, healthier planet for us and future generations.
Join Us! 🤝
Let`s keep the momentum going! Get involved in our next #cleanup, at #shellybeach. spread the word! Tag your eco-warrior squad and let`s do this! INNIT!

Every stage of plastics life cycle is a health threat to humans.
Communities are exposed to pollutants during oil extraction.
Workers inhale toxic gasses during manufacturing.
Consumers ingest and absorb plastics toxins!
A 75% reduction in production is Needed

It’s simple to make a huge difference in the reduction of single use plastic from supermarkets. Our patented systems can dispense the thickest of products anything from cooking oils to ketchup etc. The manufacturers of these products could generate more income also by reducing the trucking to supermarkets in the traditional plastic packaging. We continue our uphill battle! We have requested MiamiDade County assist us in getting a meeting with publix. #reuse #refillnotlandfill #plasticstreaty #plasticfree #landfill #healthylifestyle
